Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale govern the purchase of all animals from A&L Farms and the provision of horse training and boarding services. By placing a deposit, purchasing an animal, or enrolling in services, the buyer or client agrees to all terms set forth below.

1. SMS Messaging Program

A&L Farms operates an SMS messaging program to send clients updates about their horse's training progress, health, boarding reminders, and payment notifications.

2. Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve any animal from A&L Farms. The deposit amount is communicated at time of reservation and applied toward the total purchase price. If A&L Farms cannot fulfill the reservation for any reason, the deposit will be returned in full.

3. Pricing

All pricing is communicated directly by Allison Tanner and is subject to change until a deposit is received. A&L Farms reserves the right to decline any sale at its sole discretion.

4. Health Guarantee

All animals are vet checked and current on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to placement. A&L Farms provides a 72-hour health guarantee from the date of pickup. If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a life-threatening congenital condition within 72 hours, the buyer may return the animal for a replacement or receive a partial refund equal to the purchase price minus the deposit.

5. Age of Placement

Puppies are placed no earlier than 8 weeks of age. Kittens are placed no earlier than 12 weeks of age.

6. Buyer Responsibility

By purchasing an animal from A&L Farms, the buyer agrees to provide proper food, water, shelter, veterinary care, and a safe living environment. The buyer agrees not to resell or transfer the animal to a pet store, broker, or rescue without prior written consent from A&L Farms.

7. Breeding Rights

Unless breeding rights are specifically agreed upon in writing at the time of sale, all animals are sold as pets only.

8. Horse Boarding & Training

Please read carefully — this section affects your legal rights.

By boarding a horse at A&L Farms or enrolling in any training program, the horse owner assumes full responsibility for all inherent risks of equine activities, including but not limited to: injury from horse behavior, equipment failure, acts of God, disease, and injury during training or turnout.

To the fullest extent permitted by Alabama law, the owner releases A&L Farms and Allison Tanner from any and all liability arising from boarding, care, training, or handling of their horse, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

This agreement is made in accordance with the Alabama Equine Activity Liability Act (Alabama Code § 6-5-337).

9. Payment & Collections

Boarding and training fees are due as agreed. A&L Farms reserves the right to place an agister's lien on any horse for unpaid fees per Alabama law. Returned checks incur a $50 fee. Any unauthorized chargeback constitutes a breach of these terms.

10. Right to Refuse

A&L Farms reserves the right to refuse any sale, boarding, or service to any person at any time. A&L Farms prioritizes the welfare of its animals above all else.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Morgan County, Alabama.
